This Privacy Statement explains what personal data SocialBoards collects from you, through interactions between you and our clients, why we collect it, and how we use that data.

This statement protects the privacy of individuals who are in contact with our clients through SocialBoards’ products and services, who visit our websites (socialboards.com), or who register to use the products and services which we market for subscription (available at www. socialboards.com)
2. Application of the Privacy Statement
SocialBoards’ Privacy Statement applies to all services delivered by us and our contractors.
Clients (data controller) of our services are solely responsible for establishing policies for – and insuring compliance with – all applicable laws and regulations, as well as all privacy policies, agreements or other obligations, relating to the collection of personal information in relation to the use of our services by individuals (data subjects) whom are customers of our clients.
SocialBoards (data processor) collect information under the direction of our clients and have no direct relationship with individuals whose personal information we process in relation to our clients’ use of our services. An individual who interacts with our clients via our services (customer of our clients) that would either like to amend their contact information or no longer wish to be contacted by one of our clients that use our services should take direct contact with the client that the individual interact with.
Our Privacy Statement excludes services offered by other companies or individuals that have separate privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any such stakeholder to understand their information practices.
To complete requests from our clients, we may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our services. Transfers to subsequent third parties for these purposes are governed by the Service Agreements with our clients.
3. Information Collected
We collect data to operate effectively and provide the best services to all our users and the best experiences with our services.
3.1. Information you give us
Account and Registration Information:
When you register for an account to access or utilize one or more of our services, we ask for and may collect personal information about you such as your name, address, phone number, email address, social media IDs, as well as certain related information such as your company name and website name. We may also ask for and collect personal information from any individual that you authorize to log into and utilize our services in connection with your account such as name or an email address.
We refer to this information as “account information” for the purposes of this statement. By providing us with account information, you submit that you are the owner of such personal data or have the appropriate consent to provide it to us.
Other submissions:
We ask for and may collect personal information from you when you submit web forms or chat with us via or use interactive features on our websites, including participation in surveys, promotions, requests for customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.
Attendee information:
We ask for and may collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number and email address when you register for or attend events at which a member of the SocialBoards company participates.
Mobile application:
When you download and use our services we may automatically collect information on the type of device you use and operating system version.
3.2. Information collected associated with the use of our services
We collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, such as when you visit a website of our clients that uses our services.
Log information:
When you use our services, we automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This includes:
- details of how you used our service, such as your search queries.
- device event information, such as mobile app crashes, browser type, browser resolution, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.
- cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your SocialBoards account.
Local storage:
We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

We and our clients use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit a SocialBoards service, and this may include using cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. We also use these technologies to collect and store information when you interact with services we offer to our clients, such as SocialBoards features that may appear on our clients’ websites.
Our Google Analytics integration help us analyze the traffic to Socialboards’ services to improve our product offerings.
As a SocialBoards client and a registered user you are accepting that all information you register is stored in a database. When information is associated with your SocialBoards account, we treat it as personal information. 3.3. Information collected from other sources
Information from third-party services:
We may obtain information, including personal information, from third parties such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc. For example, we may have access to certain information from a social media or authentication service if you log into our services via or provide access to information from such a service. Any access that we may have to such information will be in accordance with the authorization procedures of that service. By authorizing us to connect with a third-party service, you authorize us to access and store your name, email, and any other personal information that the third-party service makes available to us, and to use and disclose it in accordance with this Privacy Statement. To change the information sent to us you should review your privacy settings on these services. For example, you can log in to the Services using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider, as further described below.

Single sign-On:
You can log into certain services using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect, Google Sign-In or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity, provide you with the option to share certain personal information (such as your name and email address) with us, and pre-populate our feedback or sign-up forms. Services such as these provide option to post information about your activities in the services to your profile page to share with others within your network.
4. How personal information is used
SocialBoards uses the data we collect to operate our business and to provide better customer service experience with our clients, which is done to:
- provide, operate, maintain and improve our services;
- enable access to and use of our services;
- process transactions and send you related information, such as receipts and invoices;
- provide customer service and support including replies to your comments, questions, and requests; send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and other administrative messages;
- promote services such as providing you with information about products and services, features, surveys, newsletters, offers, promotions, events and provide other information about us or our partners. Where we rely on your consent to process the personal information, you have the right to withdraw or decline to give consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5. Reasons for sharing information
Third-party service providers:
We share information, including personal information, with our third-party service providers that we use to provide hosting for and maintenance of our websites, application development, backup, storage and other services for us. These service providers may process or have access to your personal information while they provide these services for us. We do not permit them to use your personal information that is shared, for their own marketing purposes or for any other purposes than those in connection with the processing services they provide to us.
Compliance with laws and law enforcement requests:
We may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, such as to meet law enforcement requirements or legal demands. We may disclose personal information to respond to court orders, or legal processes, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may also share such information if we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or act regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our service agreement, or as otherwise required by law.
Testimonials:

Community forums:
The websites may offer publicly accessible blogs, community forums, comments sections, discussion forums, or other social interactive features. You should be aware that any information that you post in such an area might be read, collected, and used by others who access it. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.
6. Data transfer of information collected
SocialBoards process all personal information on our servers within the geographical region bound by EU regulations and hence follow the requirements of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). We may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live.

8. Retention of personal information
We will retain your personal information for as long as is needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement on behalf of our clients, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it.
For personal information that we process on behalf of our clients, we will retain such personal information in accordance with the terms of our agreement with them, subject to applicable law.
9. Information Security
SocialBoards work hard to protect both ourselves and our users from unauthorised access to or unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction of information that we hold. More specifically:
- We encrypt all data transferred using our services, using SLL
- We offer all users two-factor authentication when accessing SocialBoards’ services
- We review our information collection, storage and processing practices, to guard against unauthorised access to systems.
- We restrict access to personal information related to SocialBoards’ employees, clients, contractors and vendors to a need-to-know basis to process the data for us. They are all subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations. They may be disciplined, or their contract terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.
